Horses have been my
passion ever since I can remember. As a young girl I was always playing
with model horses and "My Little Ponies". However, I
never thought I would have the wonderful opportunity to teach others
how to better connect with their beloved horses.
I started out riding
rodeo and gymkhana. I then began riding Hunter/Jumpers at
age 14.
I finally realized the art of Dressage at the ripe ole age of
30.
Four years later I am a USDF bronze medalist
who has found a profound love for the sport. My coach is a
USEF "S" judge who has helped me to better understand how to
"listen" to my horse.
My teaching is based
on the importance of learning what your horse is telling you. It is very
important to understand why your horse is doing what it is
doing.
Dressage is based on balance which comes from
straightness and suppleness. Learning to use your seat and legs
independently from your hands is essential in being able to
accomplish proper balance.
